Fjällräven Journey – Gunung Stong

Written by: Ritche Lance

The year of the 2017 is an extremely exciting one for all of us at Fjällräven. Having already previously announced Fjällräven Bootcamp for Indonesia, and Fjällräven Life for Philippines, we’re extending our reach in the South East Asia region with the introduction of Fjällräven Journey in Malaysia.

Taking place on the 3rd to 5th of March 2017, Journey will take participants up Mount Stong [or as the locals call it, Gunung Stong], through Baha Camp.

Similar to Fjällräven Bootcamp and Life, Journey is an event for all ages, that takes you through the beautiful nature of Malaysia, with no other agendas other than to enjoy the breathtaking nature and keeping it clean [of course not forgetting making tons of new friends along the way].

Fjällräven Journey allows you to experience the Malaysian way of trekking. Laid back, relaxed, and really just enjoying and basking in every little beautiful and wondrous sight along the way.
Gunung Stong, a forested nature reserve, is located at Dabong, Kelantan, a mere couple of hours away from the city center of Kuala Lumpur. It is also the home to one of the highest waterfalls in Malaysia.
This 2017, join us on our adventure in South East Asia, as we continue to bring the Fjällräven way of trekking to more countries.

What To Expect:

Be prepared to be amazed by the beautiful natural wonders of Gunung Stong. Accompanied by fellow Malaysian Trekkers, and a number of others from the region, trek the friendly trails of the forested Gunung Stong. Explore different caves in the vicinity, and embrace the beautiful tropics of Gunung Stong. Be wow-ed by one of Malaysia’s tallest waterfalls, and join us at Fjällräven as we work together as one unit to clean up Gunung Stong.

Join us and be a part of this ever growing family! For more information, do not hesitate to contact Ritche, at ritche@actually.com.sg.
